Batchwood School: Passion Belief Courage

Gallery: Snowdonia Mountaineering Trip February 2017

After a long journey to Wales we stopped off at Harlech beach to stretch the legs. Our budding mountaineers had fun jumping down huge sand dunes and walking along by the sea under dramatic skies.

Walking Cnicht

It was a very windy day and we had to change our route to avoid the south ridge from where the direction of the wind was coming from. This did not mean that we had an easy stroll however. We took route 1 up a steep slope that zig-zagged to the foot of the final ascent of Cnicht. We were very proud of our group who worked hard, kept tight together and supported each other up the mountain.

We all made it up safely. The wind was blowing hard but the sun came out and the views were amazing.
